VILAR CENTER ANNOUNCES SUMMER 2010 CONCERT LINEUP: TICKETS FOR SUMMER SHOWS ON SALE MONDAY AT 11AM MST.
VAIL, Colorado— As the Vilar Performing Arts Center winds down the winter season, they Beaver Creek theater has wasted no time in looking forward to the warmer months. Today they announced the initial summer concert series lineup, with more shows to be added throughout the spring. Highlights of the lineup include legendary crooner Natalie Cole, a tribute show of classic rock with “The Music of ABBA” with Arrival from Sweden, an evening with renowned singer/songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter, an encore appearance by bluesman and Vilar Center favorite Keb’ Mo’ and the Beaver Creek debut of indie rocker Ani DiFranco. Tickets for the announced shows go on sale Monday, March 29 at 11am MST.
“We’re very excited at how the summer concert series is coming together,” said Vilar Center Executive Director Kris Sabel. “To move from Natalie Cole to the ABBA tribute, then to Mary Chapin Carpenter, Keb’ Mo’ and Ani DiFranco really shows the diversity of the theatre and the breadth of programming we like to present for audiences each season.”
Sabel also advises music lovers to check www.vilarpac.org often, or to join the email list at www.vilarpac.org/email to be the first to learn about additions to the season.
“We’re far from done with the programming for this summer,” Sabel explained. “We have a few more concerts that we’ll announce soon, as well as Bravo! Chamber music, free family films and much more.”
In the meantime, a calendar of the season, artist bios, videos, “VPAC Radio,” a virtual theater tour, online ticketing and more are available at www.vilarpac.org.
Tickets for the announced will be available for purchase beginning at11am MST on Monday, March 29. Tickets are available online at www.vilarpac.org, by calling 888.920.ARTS (2787) or in person at the box office in Beaver Creek. The box office is open 8am – 5pm MST Monday through Saturday, with additional hours on performance days.
