What an incredible place! On this cool May morning, several Mommies were there with very young children, exploring the wetlands, listening to the birds, climbing on the rocks and hiking around the five-acre site.

Vail.net's personal fly fishing guide, Mark Sassi, took the time this morning to send us a quick update on current fishing conditions. Here's what he has to say: "The local fly fishing is absolutely on fire right now. With all the lower water levels comes the hatches of Caddis, mayflies and the ever so famous Salmon Fly. Floating is available but the best way to hook up right now is by wading in the river. You can fish from the crack of dawn to last light and catch fish all day."

EagleVail Pool Opens Friday, May 11 EagleVail’s beautiful community pool opens this Friday, May 11 and will be open weekends during May. Early season pool hours are Fridays, 4-8 p.m. and Saturdays/Sunday 12-6 p.m. In May, adult morning lap swim will be at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting May 14. The pool will be open daily from Saturday, May 26, through Labor Day from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.   Pool Passes Daily passes are $9 for EagleVail residents and $12 for non-residents. Children under 5 are free, when accompanied by an adult.

Looking for fun things to do in Vail during off-season? Take a class at Vail's new Community Programming Room. The Vail Recreation District is offering all kinds of programs for adults and youth in the new Community Programming Room, including African Drumming, Yoga, TRX ® Suspension Training and numerous art classes for adults and children.
