Colorado River Runs

Since 1973, Colorado River Runs has outfitted quality guided raft trips on Colorado's best rivers. We are the only locally owned river company on the upper Colorado River, giving your family a personalized and memorable experience. Our trips are fun, safe and exciting. Our rivers offer just the right combination of scenery, safety and thrills. Colorado River Runs is licensed by the state of Colorado and operates under permission of the United States Bureau of Land Management.

Colorado River

Great for families and beginners, the Colorado River has deep canyons, spectacular vistas and easy rapids. More than a float, but without heavy whitewater, the Colorado offers the right balance of atmosphere and fun in an isolated setting. Inflatible kayaks are available for the more adventurous. As always, we pay close attention to safety on the river. Our trips meet at our lodge in Radium, an antique mountain ranching town about 45 minutes from Avon/Beaver Creek. From our lodge, it's a short shuttle ride to our river access point. Trips end in beautiful Radium. Half-day trips on the Colorado River are just $40 for adults and $30 for children!

Eagle River

Don't try this at home! Fed by the snowmelt and tumbling down the Vail Valley, the Eagle River has some of the best rapids in Colorado. Great rapids and great scenery make the Eagle a great whitewater adverture. Our trips meet in Wolcott, 20 miles west of Vail on I-70. Full-day trips on the Eagle River are $90 and half-day trips are $45.

Details

At Colorado River Runs, we pay close attention to safety. Everyone wears a life jacket and wetsuit and a thorough whitewater safety briefing is given before we hit the river. Under the wetsuit, wear a swimsuit. Remember to have warm clothes in the car for after the trip. You will get wet!
