Both Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains received 1 inch of new snow in the past 24 hours, but more exciting than that is more is on the way.

No matter what weather report you look at, all are predicting new snow in the forecast over the next few days.

ALERT: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 6 PM MST FRIDAY. STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL WILL RANGE FROM 6 TO 12 INCHES BY FRIDAY EVENING.

With a slow start to the season, Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains each need the snow. Make sure to keep checking back for current weather updates.
