It's A Spectacular Fall Day in Vail and Beaver Creek, Colorado!

Fall hike Beaver Creek

In a word, WOW. Yesterday (Saturday) was a picture-perfect day here in the mountains: crystal-clear blue sky, dramatic colors, no wind, high about 75 degrees. Today will be the same, perhaps a little warmer.

The colors seem to be peaking a little late this year. They've definitely not quite peaked here in Vail and Beaver Creek just yet.  On our hike up Stone Creek in Eagle-Vail on Friday, we noticed that about half of the aspens were golden, and half were still green. Because we have had very little wind this week, very few leaves have blown off the trees.  There are large patches of blazing gold everywhere!

Jeff Boyer, the pro at the Eagle Ranch Golf Club, reports that the course is in perfect condition. And Jim Kanda, our Vail.net fishing guide extraordinaire, says the fishing on our local streams and rivers is good to excellent. I had a wonderful mountain bike ride yesterday, and can vouch for the fact that the trails are in the best shape they've been in all season. Hiking? Superb everywhere. Deck-sitiing? Always a great pasttime in Vail and Beaver Creek.

The evenings are equally superb... perfect for sitting around a campfire and stargazing.

Come join in the fun this week and enjoy Colorado at its peak!
