The Eagle County Fair & Rodeo continues tonight, but with the addition of the PRCA Rodeo. The event will be held at the rodeo grounds in Eagle, CO - just minutes awayf rom Vail and Beaver Creek.

This rodeo is not to be missed with 7 amazing events including Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Tie-down Roping, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, and Bull Riding.

Whether you're watching a champion bull rider subdue a 2,000 pound bull or participating in one of numerous 4-H activities, the Fair & Rodeo provides a taste of the authentic American west.

The Rodeo will finish off a fun-filled day of family activities, differing each day depending on the theme.

The Vail Valley Theatre Company Presents The Best Evening on Broadway at Manor Vail Lodge on July 26th at 6pm

Vail, CO (July 14, 2010) -- The Vail Valley Theatre Company and Manor Vail Lodge are teaming up to present a cabaret night at Manor Vail Lodge in Vail on July 26th. This event is a fundraiser for the 23 year old not-for-profit whose mission is to bring theatre opportunities to the community. The event will consist of a three act food and song extravaganza including Broadway musical review numbers paired with food and drinks prepared by Chef Richard A. Bailey of Lord Gore restaurant.

“This event will be fun and exciting with singing, comedy and local talent that is impressive, says Nicole Whitaker, board member of VVTC and Director of Sales for Manor Vail Lodge. “I am excited to bring together the talent of the VVTC and the world class dining at Manor Vail Lodge.

The event kicks off with Act I which includes a reception and performances by the cast. Act II offers a three course meal accompanied by special songs from Randy Simmonds and his acoustic guitar. The Encore includes additional performances along with a chocolate fountain and champagne.

The cast, which is made up of local performers including: Dore Marott, Maxine Graboyes, Nicole Whitaker, John Tedstrom, Robert Wagner, and Randy Simmonds will be performing hits from past Vilar Center Performances which include: Tonight, Sisters, Moon River, Stars, Cheek to Cheek, duets, trios and group numbers as well as some familiar Broadway tunes all accompanied and directed by Taylor Kundolf.

VAIL RECREATION DISTRICT JULY YOUTH SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS CONTINUE with Golf , Martial Arts, Sports Training, Basketball, Tennis, Soccer and Volleyball. Camps Available Throughout the Summer

Youth sports enthusiast have a variety of Vail Recreation District sports camp options to choose from for the remainder of July including martial arts, sports training, golf, gymnastics and basketball. All of these camps offer participants an opportunity to learn new skills and improve upon their sports skills. Details are as follows:

Martial Arts Camps:
July 19-23 and Aug. 2-6
Ages Five to 12
Vail Gymnastics Center

The VRD's new youth martial arts camps introduce children ages five to 12 to all aspects of martial arts. The camps are for all ability levels and are operated by Vail Martial Arts Academy instructor Mathew Bayley. They include instruction on all major Japanese, Korean, Chinese and American martial arts, plus include instruction from the national, award-winning Alert Kids Kidnap Prevention Program. Mini-Hawk Sports Training Camps

This multi-sport program provides children ages four to seven with a positive first step into athletics. The camp includes learning the essentials of baseball, basketball and soccer in a safe and fun environment. Campers also explore balance, movement, hand-eye coordination and skill development. VRD Back-to-Basics All-Star Basketball Academy:

Participants will be coached by former NBA All-Star, All-Pro Sydney Moncrief and his award winning staff during this four-day camp, which will concentrate on learning new skills while building on the fundamentals of shooting, passing, dribbling, footwork and defense. Vail Gymnastics Summer Camps:

Returning for a second summer, these week-long summer camps are for children ages four and older and not only include gymnastics, but also outdoor adventures such as hiking, visiting local parks and excursions to Dobson Ice Arena, the Imagination Station, Vail Nature Center and more. Children are grouped according to age and skill level. Costs are $125 for a half day, 9 a.m. to noon, or $150 for a full day, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children must be six years or older to attend the full day camp. Registration is underway. Call 970-479-2287.

"Life. Support. Music.": 7pm, Vilar Performing Arts Center, Beaver Creek -- The Vail Symposium presents the film “Life. Support. Music.” as a part of the Brain Series. Winner of several awards at the Rome International Film Festival and Boston Independent Film Festival, the film, “transcends one’s perceptions of medicine, music and even miracles.”

Beaver Creek Rodeo: 5pm, Avon (behind Chapel Square) -- Gates open at 5:00pm for event sign-up and pre-rodeo activities (pony rides, face painting, mechanical bull, dinner, etc) and the rodeo events begin at 6:00pm. Rodeo events include bareback bronc riding, a kids calf scramble, team roping, mutton bustin', barrel racing, burro racing, and bull Riding. A great event for the whole family! Located behind Chapel Square in Avon with free shuttle service from the covered bridge in Beaver Creek village.

National Repertory Orchestra - Free Family Concert: 11am, Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, Vail -- This free family concert presented by Community Banks of Colorado features Carl Topilow, music director and conductor. The concert will highlight music of the wild west including works by Bernstein, Rossini, Copland, and John Williams. This event promises fun for the whole family - pack a picnic, bring a blanket and sit on the lawn, or enjoy the concert from the pavilion seating. This complimentary performance will open its gates at 10 am with an Instrument Petting Zoo.

Town of Eagle's Showdown Town Presents Chadzilla & The Asteriods: 6:30pm, Eagle -- Relive the days of neon glasses, flipped up collars and stand-up video games with Chadzilla & The Asteroids. With an 80's set-list as big as its stage presence, this group brings all the shredding, harmonies and memories that 80's music represents for every generation. Minturn Farmers Market: 9am - 2pm, Minturn Center - More than 145 vendors and 45,000 people attend the Minturn Market, making this weekly outdoor event one of the largest farmer’s market in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. The market includes local produce, live music, food stands and more.

Lionshead Saturday Afternoon Club: 3-6pm, Lionhead Village - A family focussed, free event that offers a variety of activities and entertainment, from arts and crafts to a pizza tossing competition. La Sportiva Half Marathon: All Day, Vail -- Runners of the Vail Half Marathon will test themselves on a course that's just over the half marathon distance with an average grade of 7 percent. The half marathon boasts 4,020 feet climb up roads on Vail Mountain with a high point on the course at 11,653 feet. Test your skills by registering for this event or just bring the family and cheer on the athletes!

Vail Farmers Market and Art Show: 9am - 3pm, Vail Village - The Vail Farmers' Market & Art Show is the largest farmers' market in Colorado. There are more than 100 vendor tents weekly along with two live music venues and activities for kids. Vendors in colorful tents sell farm fresh fruits & vegetables and delicious foods & snacks. Local artists & artisans display and explain their finest works. Stop by just to buy the freshest foods and go, to have lunch, to browse the many tents and nearby shops & galleries or to enjoy all the activites.

VAIL, Colorado—The Bud Light Hot Summer Nights free concert series plays host to “new music for old souls” from Hoots & Hellmouth. The foot-stompin’ fun kicks off on Tuesday, July 13 at 6:30pm, with gates opening at 5:30pm, at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail.

Hoots & Hellmouth have made it their musical mission to continuously blaze a trail in the name of a progressive renewal. Furthermore, Rob Berliner, Andrew Gray and Sean Hoots aren’t just musicians, but as they describe it, a “ragtag bunch seeking a revival of spirit.”

It is with this spirit that Hoots & Hellmouth approach every song they write, record and perform, and it can be felt at the heart of every note. Ladies "Drop-in" Class with Erica Webster
Drop in for a quick tune-up or a little refresher from PGA Professional Erica Webster. Drop-in sessions are 30 minutes long and cost $15 per person.

Link Up 2 Golf Group Golf Lessons

We still have room in our Link Up 2 Golf 102 lessons, which start next week. The class is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 6, 8, 13 and 15 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. The cost for 8 hours of group golf lessons is $145.00. Link Up 2 Golf "102" lessons are intended for intermediate golfers. We also have space available in our Link Up 2 Golf 103 class, which is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 20, 22, 27 & 29 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. The Practice Tee will close at 5:00pm on Tuesday, July 13th and July 20th and open at 9:00am on Wednesday, July 14th and July 21st instead of our usual schedule, because of the tournaments listed above.
